Introduction

Bancontact is a Belgian card scheme that allows customers to pay globally with mobile apps and cards from over 25 issuers in Belgium.

Nuvei offers merchants the following methods for accepting Bancontact:

Bancontact Manual PAN Entry via Nuvei Acquiring: A card payment method (paymentOption.card) for processing Bancontact transactions in which the merchant or the cardholder card provides the card details. Nuvei identifies Bancontact cards and processes the transactions as the acquirer.
Bancontact Mobile via Nuvei Acquiring: A combined APM and card flow providing users the option to initiate a Bancontact transaction using the Bancontact app or the Payconiq by Bancontact app.
Bancontact via Third Party: An APM that redirects users to a provider’s payment page for Bancontact manual PAN entry transactions.
