Overview

The Terminal Management interface is part of the Nuvei Omnichannel solution, offering merchants a comprehensive tool for configuring, creating, managing, monitoring status, and assigning terminals.

After onboarding, you can log in to the Control Panel to:

• View your configured terminals under the locations.
• Link terminals to registers.
• Request new terminals, new locations, accessories, and registers.
• Track request statuses.

The report is accessible via the Operations > Terminal Management option in the main menu bar.

The report is available for merchants who are using integrated terminals and/or standalone terminals and processing in North America and Europe, using Nuvei Acquirer.

The Terminal Management Report is only visible to Control Panel users with a Management role and Admin permissions.

The report is set in accordance with the Control Panel user time zone.

The Terminal Management interface consists of four main tabs:

• Locations tab
• Requests tab
• Terminals tab
• Registers tab

Locations Tab

On the Locations tab, merchants can view all locations that were created, and can view the terminals and the registers per location.

Data on the Locations tab is grouped by terminal location address.

Filters

You can use the filters to narrow the search parameters for your report. The following filters are available:

Location Address	Select the location address from the dropdown list.	This is the location address and not the registered address. The location name is automatically created according to street and city.

Main Grid Columns

Parameter	Description	Notes
Location Address	The location of the store.	The location name is automatically created according to Street and City. The terminals, registers and accessories are assigned and linked to this location during onboarding or when a request is initiated by the merchant.
Multi-client Name	The multi-client account with which the location is associated.	Multi-client accounts are made up of client accounts, each with its own transactions.
Client Name	The name of the client assigned by the merchant.
Location Create Date	The date the location was created in the Nuvei system.
Terminals	The number of terminals per location with any status (including deleted).	This includes terminals that are linked, unlinked, as well as all types of terminals (integrated, standalone).
Registers	The number of registers per location.	This includes registers that are linked, unlinked, as well as registers with any status.

Quick Grid Columns

Press on the right to open the Terminals Quick grid, which consists of two tabs:

Terminals Tab Columns

Column Name	Description	Notes
Details	Press   to drill down to the Terminal Details.
Location Address	The location of the store.	The location name is automatically created according to Street and City. The terminals, registers and accessories are assigned and linked to this location during onboarding or when a request is initiated by the merchant.
Terminal ID	Tango Terminal ID.	Terminal ID is created when the terminal is onboarded in the Nuvei system.
Friendly Name	Friendly name of the terminal.	The default terminal friendly name is ‘Terminal 1’. A merchant can edit the name.
Terminal Status	Status of the terminal. Possible values: Pending Activation – The terminal is shipped and not yet processed. This status can only be changed to "Active" by the system. It is triggered by the system when processing any transactions with an amount greater than 5 (in any currency). Active – The terminal is active and processed. Activation is triggered by the system when more than 5 approved authorizations (in any currency) have been processed when the status is Active. Inactive – The terminal processed less than 5 approved authorizations (in any currency). Blocked – The terminal is activated but cannot be used, which is determined by Nuvei Technical Support only. Deleted – The terminal is disabled and cannot be used anymore, which is determined by Nuvei Technical Support only. The terminal is presented in the UI all the time.
Cloud Service Connectivity Status	Indicates if the cloud server is connected or not. Possible values: Online – Connected to cloud server. Offline – Not connected to cloud server.	Relevant for integrated terminals.
Linked Registers	List of registers linked to the terminal.	Relevant for integrated terminals.
Terminal Creation Date	Relevant for integrated terminals.	Created when the terminal is onboarded successfully. A request for terminals can still be in process and not even shipped.
Region	The region to which this terminal is assigned.
Terminal Type	Indicates if the requested terminal is set up as Standalone or Integrated. Standalone – A user manually enters all actions on the terminal. Integrated – A Register/POS system communicates actions to the terminal instead of manual entry.

Terminal Details

Detail	Description	Notes
Replacing Terminal ID	In case the merchant replaces terminal ID X with terminal ID Y.	Once the new terminal is activated, the status of the existing terminal is deleted, and the new terminal is populated under terminal details “Replacing Terminal ID”.
Manufacturer	The name of the POS terminal manufacturer.
Model	Terminal's model.
Terminal Status	See here.
Cloud Service Connectivity Status	Indicates if the cloud server is connected or not. Possible values: Online – Connected to cloud server. Offline – Not connected to cloud server.	Relevant for integrated terminals.
Register Friendly Name	Friendly name of the register.
Serial Number	Terminal's serial number.
Location Time Zone	Terminal time zone.	This is set according to the location time zone.
Last Heartbeat	The last checkin of the device to the cloud control.	Relevant for the Integrated terminals only. Presented according to Control Panel user time zone.
Last Modified Date	The last action that was done on the terminal.	Presented according to the Control Panel user time zone.
Last Transaction Date	Last transaction date and time of the terminal.
Terminal Status Update Date	The last date the terminal status was updated.

Terminals Tab Actions

• Link Terminal to Registers – Relevant only for Integrated terminals.
  • Allows linking a terminal or terminals to a register or registers.
  • You can override existing links.
  • You can link a terminal (with any status) to a register with any status.
  • The list of available registers is presented per location. You cannot link a terminal to a register at a different location.
• Unlink Terminal from Registers – Each register is “Unlinked”, but only manually via the terminal.

Registers Tab Columns

Column Name	Description	Notes
Location Address	The location of the store.	The location name is automatically created according to Street and City. The terminals, registers and accessories are assigned and linked to this location during onboarding or when a request is initiated by the merchant.
Register ID	Presented in zero state.
Friendly Name	Friendly name of the register.
Cloud Service Connectivity Status	Indicates if the cloud server is connected or not. Possible values: Online – Connected to cloud server. Offline – Not connected to cloud server.
Last Modified Date	The last date the register was updated.	When any of the following are updated, it counts as a last modified: Manufacturer, Model, Friendly Name, Status, Last Heartbeat, Last Transaction, Merchant ID, Authentication Key, Created.
Last Transaction Date	Last transaction date and time of the terminal.
Linked Terminal	Terminal linked to this register.
Register Authentication Key	Used to authenticate to the cloud control.	Press the Generate Key button to create a key. The merchant takes the Register Authentication Key and inputs it in their software. (This key is not used to connect the register and the terminal.)

Registers Tab Actions

• Edit Register Name – Merchant can edit the default name of the register.
• Reset Register Authentication Key – When the merchant installs the register, they need to generate the Register Authentication Key from the Control Panel to load into that register. At that time, the merchant can rename the friendly name (Reception, Service desk, Parts department, etc.) to identify which register they are working on. They then link the terminal they choose and update the friendly name of this terminal.

Requests Tab

The Request tab provides a solution to streamline terminal setup and increase operational efficiency. Merchants can request, track, and manage requests, and expand their terminal operations.
The platform simplifies the process of submitting requests to Nuvei, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.

Filters

You can use the filters to narrow the search parameters for your report. The following filters are available:

Sort by	Select Request Create Date, Location Address, or Requested Terminals.	Each option is available with ascending and descending.
Client Name	Select from the dropdown list to filter by the client-name associated with the multi-client account. Multiple selection is possible.	Multiple selection is possible.
Location Address	Enter location (must match exactly)	This is the location address and not the registered address. The location name is automatically created according to street and city.
Request Status	Select from the dropdown list: In process – Nuvei started to work on the request, including the pricing stage; the request cannot be edited. Request status is "in process" until all terminals/ accessories will be shipped. This status is also relevant when a merchant ask a new location/client. Failed – The merchant can view the request details of the failed request and try to resubmit the request using the Resubmit button. Completed – The devices were shipped to the merchant location; the request cannot be edited. Merchant can view the request in the Locations tab. This status is also relevant when a merchant requests a new location/client. Cancelled – The request has been cancelled by Nuvei, either at the merchant's request or due to complications that arose while handling the request. Merchants can view and filter these requests, but cannot cancel requests through the Control Panel.
Update Date	This is the date the request was most recently updated. Select a date rage with a custom period.
Request Type	Select from the dropdown list: Location Terminal Register Accessory

Main Grid Columns

Column	Description	Notes
Location Address	The location of the store.	The location name is automatically created according to Street and City. The terminals, registers and accessories are assigned and linked to this location during onboarding or when a request is initiated by the merchant.
Multi-client Name	The multi-client account in which the transaction was processed.	Multi-client accounts are made up of client accounts, each with its own transactions.
Client Name	The name of the client linked to your merchant account.
Requested Date	The day the merchant submit the request.
Update Date	Last date when the request changed status or delivery status changed date.
Requested Terminals	The requested terminals under the selected location.
Request Type	The type of request. Possible values: New Location New Terminals New Register Accessories
Request Status	The status of the request. Possible values: In Process – Nuvei started to work on the request, including the pricing stage; the request cannot be edited. Request status is ""in process"" until all terminals/ accessories will be shipped. This status is also relevant when a merchant ask a new location/client. Failed – The merchant can view the request details of the failed request and try to resubmit the request using the Resubmit button. Completed – The devices were shipped to the merchant location; the request cannot be edited. Merchant can view the request in the Locations tab. This status is also relevant when a merchant requests a new location/client.
Resubmit	If the request fails, the Resubmit button appears. Update the Request form fields and press Resubmit to process your request again.

Quick Grid Columns

Client Name	The name of the client as assigned by the merchant.
Phone Number	Contact phone number of the Location or Primary person of contact.
Contact Name	Primary contact person’s first and last name to contact regarding delivery of terminals.
Shipping Method	Preferred shipment delivery time. Possible values: Standard Next Day Next Day Priority Saturday Delivery	Areas outside mainland United Kingdom are subject to additional shipping time, and special handling such as priority and Saturday delivery are subject to availability and incur additional fees.
Registers Number	Number of the registers.

Request Types

Merchants can open the following types of requests by pressing in the upper right corner:

• Request a new location (client)
• Request a new terminal
• Request a new register
• Request an accessory

For each request type, you must fill out the relevant form as described here.

Request a new location (client)

This action also triggers the creation of a new client name in the Gateway.

The merchant can also enter the contact and shipping details in the new terminal request.

The merchant completes the Request form and submits the request.

Request a new terminal

This request type can be used to request terminals, accessories, and registers in a single request. The merchant can choose to request:

• Only terminals
• Terminals and registers
• Terminals and accessories
• Terminals, registers, and accessories

Although the request appears as a single submission when the form is filled out, it is processed as three separate requests. After submission, each request has its own status, allowing for individual tracking of terminals, registers, and accessories.

Standalone requests for registers and accessories can also be submitted separately if needed.

The merchant can also enter the accessories and shipping details in the new terminal request.

The merchant completes the Request form and submits it.

Clerk/Server Label	Possible values: Clerk ID – A unique identifier assigned to an individual who operates in a physical workspace and performs POS activities. Server ID – A unique identifier for a specific service or transaction type offered through a terminal. It is used to categorize or differentiate different types of transactions, server, or products.

Terminals Tab

The Terminal tab provides a centralized view for merchants to manage and monitor all terminals across multiple locations. Unlike the location-level view, which filters data by specific locations, this tab allows you to see all your terminals in one grid, regardless of their assigned location.

You can then apply terminal-specific filters to view detailed information about each terminal, such as its status, linked registers, properties, and more. This feature gives you greater flexibility and control over your terminals, enabling you to efficiently manage and track them across your entire network.

Registers Tab

The Registers tab offers a comprehensive view of all your registers across locations, making it easier to manage and track their status. This tab allows you to access detailed information about each register, such as its properties, linked terminals, and cloud control connectivity status.

Unlike the location-specific view, which focuses on individual locations, the Registerd tab provides a unified grid that displays all registers in one place, regardless of their location. You can apply specific filters to view registers based on their status or other criteria, giving you the flexibility to efficiently monitor and manage your registers across the network.

Main Grid Columns

Column Name	Description	Notes
Location Address	The location of the store.	The location name is automatically created according to Street and City. The terminals, registers and accessories are assigned and linked to this location during onboarding or when a request is initiated by the merchant.
Register ID	Presented in zero state.
Friendly Name	Friendly name of the register.
Cloud Service Connectivity Status	Indicates if the cloud server is connected or not. Possible values: Online – Connected to cloud server. Offline – Not connected to cloud server.
Last Modified Date	The last date the register was updated.	When any of the following are updated, it counts as a last modified: Manufacturer, Model, Friendly Name, Status, Last Heartbeat, Last Transaction, Merchant ID, Authentication Key, Created.
Last Transaction Date	Last transaction date and time of the terminal.
Linked Terminal	Terminal linked to this register.
Register Authentication Key	Used to authenticate to the cloud control.	Press the Generate Key button to create a key. The merchant takes the Register Authentication Key and inputs it in their software. (This key is not used to connect the register and the terminal.)

Registers Tab Actions

• Edit Register Name – Merchant can edit the default name of the register.
• Reset Register Authentication Key – When the merchant installs the register, they need to generate the Register Authentication Key from the Control Panel to load into that register. At that time, the merchant can rename the friendly name (Reception, Service desk, Parts department, etc.) to identify which register they are working on. They then link the terminal they choose and update the friendly name of this terminal.
