Overview
The audit trace feature allows you to query all actions taken on the Control Panel. The actions can be queried based on user, date and time, actions, etc. This feature is available for all users to view their previous activity, however, only users with Admin privileges can see the previous actions taken by others.
Generating an Audit Trace Report
Refer to the Reports page that explains the basic format of the reports that can be generated using the Control Panel. The page also describes how to use the various settings that allow you to generate a report with only the most relevant data, how to export your report, as well as create, schedule, and manage queries.
To generate an Audit Trace Report:
- On the main menu bar, select Settings > Audit Trace.
- Press Manage Page Settings to set which and how parameters are displayed in the report
- Use the available filters if you wish to narrow the search parameters for your report.
- Press Run Report. The report is displayed according to the settings and filters you have defined or selected.

After you generate a report, the report is displayed according to the filters you have defined or selected.
Details Column
Press in the Details column to view the Action Item Information for that transaction.
The following table describes the Action Item Information parameters displayed:

Audit ID | The ID of the action that was audited. | |
Action | The actual action(s) to be searched. | |
Reference Key | The value of the field that was changed. | This dropdown contains various action details that are selected when searching for a specific action using a specific detail of the action, such as transaction ID, dispute ID, and so on. |
Reference | The specific value of the detail that was selected from the Reference Key. | |
Old Value | The old HTML value (from before the action). | |
New Value | The new HTML value (from after the action). |
Report Parameters
This section provides tables that describe the parameters that can be selected to be displayed in the report.
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Created | The date and time that the action occurred. |
Username | The username that took the action |
Role Name | The type of permissions the user has/had at the time of the action (see Roles). |
IP | The IP address of the device that was used to take the action. |
Action Group | The group in which the action occurred. |
