The Client Rules page displays a list of all the rules by which Nuvei rejects a transaction or flags it for manual review. The rules displayed in this list are specific to your account and are used by Nuvei while performing fraud screening for your transactions based on Nuvei’s experience and adjustment to your business model. Each rule is identified by a code as listed in the Rule ID column. The Client’s Rules page lists the Rule ID and a description of the rule. The list of applied rules is dynamic and can be modified from time to time based on Nuvei’s experienced risk team optimizations.
Rules are sorted in the list by Client, Rule Category, and Rule Impact. Only active rules in your account are displayed in the list.
The Client Fraud Rules tab displays a list of Rules applied only for transactions that went through the Risk Fraud Screening system.
The Client Exemption Rules tab displays a list of 3D Rules applied only for Auth3D transactions type and 3D-Secure 2.
Viewing Your Rules List
To view the Client Rules page:
- From the main menu, select Risk > Client Rules.
The Client Rules page is displayed on the Client Fraud Rules tab by default.
Client Rules Parameters
The following table describes the parameters that are displayed on the page.
Fields | Description |

Client ID | An ID assigned to your client account by Nuvei. |
Client Name | The name of the client where the transaction originated. |
Rule ID | The reason code for the custom fraud filter is also returned in the transaction response that is returned by the Nuvei Gateway. |
Rule Name | The name of the rule. |
Rule Category | The reason that a transaction was declined by a bank. |
Rule Impact | Displays the decision of the rule. This filter has to be combined with rule name. |
The client rule list may be downloaded by pressing Export and selecting CSV, EXCEL, or PDF.
